Ich vermisse New York. Sehr. Ich stolpere über ein Bild auf meinem Smartphone von letztem Jahr, sehe eine Werbung auf den Socials oder erinnere mich einfach. Und dann ist es wie ein Stich. In’s Herz. Man sagt, Heimat ist da, wo dein Herz ist. Und meins ist in New York.

I miss New York. A lot. Sometimes I see a picture on my phone from last year’s stay, I see ads on the socials or random memories pop up in my mind. And then it’s like a sting. Like a stab right into my heart. One says that home is where your heart is. Mine is in New York.

Deadlines, events and co. – in the summer there is always lots of work! Not only  are in July and August all of my university deadlines pending, there are tons of events and there is so much blogger work to do. In addition, I am always planning for my longer trips to New York City, and so everything is somehow in the short period of summer. Most of the time things get a bit quieter here, since most of the work takes place in the background, but it’s still stressful – believe it or not! But I can not complain …

Deadlines, Events und Co. – im Sommer gibt es immer die volle Ladung Arbeit! Nicht nur das im Juli und August die ganzen Deadlines für die Uni anstehen, im Sommer häufen sich auch Events und Blogger-Work. Zudem stehen für mich immer die Planungen für meine längeren New York-Aufenthalte an und somit fällt alles irgendwie in die kurze Sommer-Zeit. Meistens wird es dann hier etwas ruhiger, da die meiste Arbeit dann im Background abläuft, stressig ist es aber dennoch. Beschweren kann ich mich aber nicht…

You can’t understand a city without looking at the way people dress.

 

I have already written about my origin in the blog post “Small Town Boy x Urban Classics” in the context of fashion. Since my long (and repeated) stay in New York City has changed a lot and is still influecing me and my way of thiking about style and fashion, I’d like to show  you in this post in cooperation with Urban Classics an updated version of the old blog post – my style, which was heavily influenced by the casualness of big cities.

Über meine Herkunft habe ich bereits in dem Blogpost „Small Town Boy x Urban Classics“ in Zusammenhang mit Mode geschrieben. Da sich durch meinen langen (und wiederholtem) Aufenthalt in New York City einiges geändert hat, zeige ich in dem Post in Kooperation mit Urban Classics eine upgedatete Version des alten Blogposts – mein Style, der stark von der Lässigkeit der Großstadt beeinflusst wurde.

Only 322 meters away from the south part of famous Central Park located  and already quite impressive from the outside is Park Central Hotel. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to stay in this 4 stars Midtown gem. Usually I’m really not very easily to impress, but the Park Central did it…

322 Meter entfernt vom Südende des Central Parks liegt ein Hotel, welches bereits von außen wirklich imposant ist: das Park Central. Vor wenigen Wochen durfte ich einen Teil meines New York Aufenthalt dort verbringen. Ich bin normalerweise nicht so leicht zu beeindrucken, aber das Park Central hat es geschafft…
