Ich vermisse New York. Sehr. Ich stolpere über ein Bild auf meinem Smartphone von letztem Jahr, sehe eine Werbung auf den Socials oder erinnere mich einfach. Und dann ist es wie ein Stich. In’s Herz. Man sagt, Heimat ist da, wo dein Herz ist. Und meins ist in New York.

I miss New York. A lot. Sometimes I see a picture on my phone from last year’s stay, I see ads on the socials or random memories pop up in my mind. And then it’s like a sting. Like a stab right into my heart. One says that home is where your heart is. Mine is in New York.

Ich habe schon immer sehr auf meine Zähne geachtet. Als kleines Kind habe ich mich gegen das Zähneputzen so gar nicht gesträubt und auch mein Zahnarzt (der seit über 20 Jahren der Gleiche ist), hatte bisher nie etwas zu bemäkeln. Meine Zähne sind dank guter Pflege und – ja auch Bleaching – weiß und relativ gerade. Aber ich habe bzw. hatte diese “charmante” Zahnlücke im Frontbereich. Bis vor einem Jahr hat sie mich nicht gestört, denn sie war wirklich minimal zu sehen. Doch mit der Zeit – und anscheinend verschieben sich die Zähne auch wenn man bereits Mitte/Ende 20 ist – wurde die Lücke immer größer und ich wollte dagegen etwas tun. Eine feste Zahnspange kam für mich aufgrund der Optik und einfach des Gefühls etwas fest und dauerhaft im Mund zu haben, nicht in Frage. Ich habe mich dann etwas mehr belesen und informiert und bin auf den Service von PlusDental gestoßen, der mithilfe von durchsichtigen Zahnschienen die Zähne nach und nach begradigt und verschiebt.

Life Update w/ Fraas

It’s been quite a while since I’ve written a life update on here. Why? Things change so quickly, that when I wrote something and want to publish it, it’s already not current anymore. But now I can tell you about one thing, that won’t change: From July on I won’t be in Munich anymore. I guess you already know that Munich is not my favorite place anymore and I’m just sick of the city, its people and the mentality. Thanks to my job (and you!) I habe the possibility to work from anywhere I want to, so I decided to leave Munich behind and focus on my future – in a new city. 🙂 I’ll tell you more about it, when it’s happening, but it’s less than two weeks away and I’m super excited! I know I’m a tease! But what’s coming… blows my mind and I know it will blow yours! 🙂 So follow me on Instagram and come with me on my big journey… it’s worth it, I promise!!!
One thing I can tell you now is that I’ll take the beautiful scarves by Fraas with me.

What three things would you take to a deserted island?

Welche drei Dinge würdest du auf eine einsame Insel mitnehmen?

 

Recently I started a Q & A on Instagram. You could ask me all the questions that you ever wanted to ask me and I answered publicly. Of course there were exciting ones and everyday questions, some were quite funny, but also some very private. One question that really stuck in my mind, even if only for a short time, was one that is really simple. “What three things would you take to a deserted island?” – sounds simple, but it’s not that easy. Three things are suddenly very little, if you should limit yourself. Especially in the current Pre-Christmas time we are overwhelmed with things we should buy and we don’t focus on the things we already have. I was spoiled for choice and had to decide – and I did. For a good book, my iPhone with my music collection and my coffee machine – the Nescafé Dolce Gusto Lumio by Krups.

Vor kurzem startete ich ein Q&A auf Instagram. Man konnte mir sämtliche Fragen stellen, die ich dann öffentlich beantwortete. Natürlich gab es Spannende und Alltagsfragen, welche die ganz lustig waren, aber auch einige Private. Eine Frage, die mich wirklich, wenn auch nur kurzfristig, zum Nachdenken gebracht hat, war eine, die wirklich simpel ist. „Welche drei Dinge würdest du auf eine einsame Insel mitnehmen?“ – klingt einfach, ist aber gar nicht so leicht.  Drei Dinge sind plötzlich ganz schön wenig, wenn man sich beschränken soll. Gerade in der jetzigen Vorweihnachtszeit wird einem der ganze Konsum und Überfluss so richtig bewusst und wir denken darüber nach, was wir noch brauchen, anstatt uns bewusst zu sein, was wir eigentlich haben. Ich hatte also die Qual der Wahl und musste mich entscheiden – und tat es auch. Und zwar für ein gutes Buch, mein iPhone mit meiner Musiksammlung und: meine Kaffeemaschine – die Nescafé Dolce Gusto Lumio von Krups.
