Only 322 meters away from the south part of famous Central Park located  and already quite impressive from the outside is Park Central Hotel. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to stay in this 4 stars Midtown gem. Usually I’m really not very easily to impress, but the Park Central did it…

322 Meter entfernt vom Südende des Central Parks liegt ein Hotel, welches bereits von außen wirklich imposant ist: das Park Central. Vor wenigen Wochen durfte ich einen Teil meines New York Aufenthalt dort verbringen. Ich bin normalerweise nicht so leicht zu beeindrucken, aber das Park Central hat es geschafft…

‘Tis the season! Only 10 days left till Christmas Eve and I don’t have any gifts yet. I’m always late when it comes to almost everything – I’m one of those “last minute” guys. But most of the time I’m late, because I already know what I want and what to do! So I already know what I’ll get for my family and friends and what I buy for myself – of course! 😉 For a few years now there’s always something from one certain company on my Christmas wishlist: bracelets from ANNA Inspiring Jewellery.

Es weihnachtet sehr – auch bei mir! Es sind nur noch 10 Tage bis Heiligabend und ich hab wie immer noch keine Geschenke. Generell bin ich mit meinen Weihnachtsgeschenken immer relativ spät dran. Ich bin Typ „Last Minute“. Das liegt wahrscheinlich aber auch daran, dass ich mittlerweile weiß, was ich wem zu Weihnachten schenken kann und was eigentlich immer gut ankommt. Und was auch ich mir selbst zu Weihnachten schenken kann. 😉 Bei mir sind seit mehreren Jahren immer Dinge von ein und derselben Firma auf meiner Wishlist: Schmuckstücke von ANNA Inspiring Jewellery.

New York is great. Big. Overwhelming.

Dirt everywhere, sirens so loud and lights so bright. Times Square the very first time. Nothing but tourists, shirt sellers and police officers. Empire State. Central Park. Brooklyn Bridge. An afternoon in Harlem. Let’s hang out in Williamsburg. Do some shopping in SoHo. See the skyline in Dumbo. I never felt insecure or strange – you know New York from all the movies. And songs. Concrete jungle. There’s nothing you can’t do. And you get attached. So easily.
After ten days I had to leave. Heartbreaking. Bye, love. But a a part of me stayed there.

Two years later. Our comeback.

I’ve been waiting so long and the city embraces me with sunshine and noise. Noise in the middle of the night. No sleep, just me, the night and New York. And it feels fabulous.
It’s hard to adjust the first days. New York changes a lot. So fast. Constant change. But it feels real.

It feels like the very first breath, when you’ve been drowning underwater.

I’m resurfacing. I feel alive.

In the city of hope. The city of dreams. The city of contrasts. I don’t care about the dirt, the noise, the crowds. I appreciate the ugly faces and the beautiful ones. The never-happening silence. The smell of the dirt when you walk down the streets early in the morning. The rats in the subways. The crazies that cuss you out. That’s New York. And the longer I stay, the more I know we belong together.

Anna Inspiring Jewellery

 

I remember the day I got my very first Anna Inspiring Jewellery bracelet so clearly. In summer 2013. I wanted a tattoo so bad, so I decided to get the quote engraved on a bracelet to see, if I still like it after a few months.
Fast forward: four years later! I’m still wearing this beautiful bracelet everyday, even though the quote is tattooed on my left forearm now.
I still love this bracelet like on the day I got it and I don’t remember that I ever took it off.

That’s how my personal Anna Inspiring Jewellery Story started! in th past few weeks I showed you not only the Anna I.J. store in Munich, but also the beautiful store in my favorite city, New York City! I showed you the products and the bracelets I have. And today it’s time to give you a closer look at them and their meaning, cause every bracelet I have, has its own special meaning and own story.
Here we go with my personal Anna Inspiring Jewellery favorites!

 

Ich erinnere mich noch an den Tag, an dem ich mein erstes Armband von ANNA Inspiring Jewellery bekam. Im Sommer 2013. Ich wollte damals unbedingt ein Tattoo haben und weil ich mir nicht ganz sicher war, ob ich den Spruch auch in ein paar Monaten immer noch wollen würde, habe ich mit einer Gravur auf einem Armband angefangen. Von ANNA Inspiring Jewellery. Vier Jahre später trage ich das Armband immer noch und das, obwohl ich mittlerweile den Spruch auf meinem linken Unterarm tätowiert habe.
Dennoch liebe ich das Armband wie am ersten Tag und ich kann mich nicht daran erinnern, es jemals abgenommen zu haben.

So begann meine ganz persönliche Anna Inspiring Jewellery Story! In den vergangenen Wochen, habe ich euch auf Instagram und in den Stories nicht nur den Store in München, sondern auch den wunderschönen Store in New York City vorgestellt. Auch die Armbänder, die ich habe, habe ich bereits gezeigt, dennoch wollte ich sie euch nochmal genauer zeigen und ein bisschen die Story zu jedem Armband erklären, denn: jedes der Armbänder trägt für mich eine bestimmte Bedeutung und hat ein Stück weit Geschichte.
