There haven’t been a lot of new posts here recently. Why? So much happened, so many things needed to be organized (and there’s still tons to do)! Here’s a new life update post for you!

The semester is almost over (it actuallly IS over!), but for Mr. Procrastination aka me it isn’t. Why? Because instead of writing exams when they should be written, I keep pushing them back and back. And now I’m here in the middle of September, everyone’s enjoying their semester break and I’m gonna write an exam really soon. Yay. Not. But after that exam, which is gonna take place next week, university’s over for a while, cause….

 

Dass in den letzten Wochen nicht regelmäßig Beiträge kamen, habt ihr sicherlich gemerkt. Warum? Weil so viel passiert ist, was meine Zeit in Anspruch genommen hat. So viel musste organisiert werden, geplant werden. Aber no laziness! Deswegen gibt es heute – neben des All Black Looks – ein kleines  Life-Update!

Das Semester hat sich zwar dem Ende geneigt, natürlich muss ich aber noch Prüfungen ablegen. Weil ich schiebe und schiebe und schiebe bis es nicht mehr geht. Procrastination at its best. Also geht’s für mich nächste Woche wieder in die Uni, um eine Klausur nachzuschreiben. Aber danach ist erstmal Schluss mit Uni, denn…

Small-Town-Boy x URBAN CLASSICS

I’m a small-town-boy. I didn’t grow up in Munich, the city I currently live in. I grew up in a small city almost 2.5 hours away from here. You won’t find streetstyles or the latest fashion items of big designers there. No, they actually think Givenchy is something like an illness. And it’s totally fine. I like being there. From time to time. Everything’s so different there and it seems like that the city’s almost on another planet. But I always knew that I have to get away from there. Move to a bigger city. Now I live in Munich with its 1.5 million inhabitants. But Munich’s a village. It isn’t the city I’ve always dreamed of, even though it’s stressful. Not like Berlin or New York. Just stressful in its own way, which is really hard to describe. That’s why I sometimes go back to my small-town. The city where nothing’s going on. But: I like it. And urban fashion is totally fine there, too! I love wearing a comfy hoodie, jogpants and sneakers – that’s it! For you it might be a strange look what I’m wearing (you’re probably not used to it), but in my private life it’s something I really enjoy wearing! In collaboration with Urban Classics I’d love to present you my favorite urban clothes!

Ich bin ein Kleinstadtjunge. Aufgewachsen bin ich nicht in München – wo ich aktuell lebe – sondern in einem kleinen Städtchen 2,5 Stunden entfernt. Verrückte Streetstyles sieht man dort genauso wenig wie die neuste Mode der Designer. Im Gegenteil: Givenchy klingt für die meisten dort eher nach einer Krankheit als nach High-Fashion. Und trotzdem: ich mag es dort. Die Unbekümmertheit, dieses Weltfremde (im positiven Sinne) und die Ruhe sind einfach toll. Manchmal. Alle paar Wochen. Trotzdem war es für mich immer klar, dass ich weg muss. Weg in eine größere Stadt. Nun lebe ich im 1,5 Millionen Städtchen München. Aber: München ist ein Dorf. Die Stadt ist für mich nicht das, was ich mir so lange gewünscht habe. Sie ist anstrengend. Nicht wie Berlin. Oder New York. Anstrengend auf eine andere Weise, ganz schwer zu beschreiben. Deswegen flüchte ich auch gerne in meine Kleinstadt. Alle paar Wochen. Und: es ist fabelhaft. Und urbane Mode funktioniert dort genauso wie in der Großstadt! Hoodie, Jogpants, Sneaker – fertig! Für euch vielleicht ein ungewöhnlicher Look an mir. Privat trifft man mich aber öfter so an. Umso freut es mich euch zusammen mit Urban Classics stylische, urbane und wahnsinnig lässige Mode zu präsentieren.

Inner walls x SCOTCH & SODA

scotch & soda sweater

These photos and this look should’ve went online last Sunday. Actually. I always try to tell a story in my outfit posts. Something, that gives it a deeper meaning than just telling you, why I combined that sweater with those pants and why a certain color is a must have right now. I want to talk about something that moves me. And maybe you too. But: I haven’t had really much to say. And I don’t want to post pictures just that they’re posted and write something, just that something’s written. I rather stay silent on here and on Instagram. The pressure is high: every day one pic on Instagram, blog posts and all those things that you can’t see – mails, phone calls, meetings. I just went off for a while and was thinking. And I found something I want to talk about. Today I want to talk about walls – a perfect topic for the location where I shot the look with my new Scotch & Soda sweater.

Diese Fotos sollten bereits vergangenen Sonntag online gehen. Eigentlich. Ich versuche in jedem meiner Outfitposts eine Geschichte zu erzählen. Etwas, was tiefer geht als die Farbigkeit meines Oberteils oder der Schnitt meiner Hose. Etwas, was mich bewegt. Und vielleicht auch euch. Aber: ich hatte nichts zu sagen. Irgendwie. Und bevor ich irgendetwas sage und die Bilder lieblos poste, sage ich lieber nichts. Und bin ruhig. Hier und auch auf Instagram. Doch der Druck ist da: jeden Tag ein Instagram-Bild, jede Woche Blogposts und dann noch die ganzen Sachen im Background! Mails, Telefonate, Treffen. Doch ich habe mich ausgeklinkt und nachgedacht. Und mir ist etwas eingefallen. Passend zu den Bildern mit dem Sweater von Scotch & Soda erzähle ich euch etwas über Mauern.

WINTER, I BREAK UP WITH YOU! With your darkness, your cold and your hopelessness. Your bad mood, your horrible wind and your lack of motivation. You’ve been here for way too long. GOOD effin’ BYE!

For the first time this year, a trace of lightness and hope lay in the air this week. It almost felt like spring. 15 degrees above zero and the sun shone, so it’s was time to put them shades out, roll up those pants and wear the favorite kicks. Put them thick wool-sweaters, winter boots and winter jackets away! But in the shadow it is still quite cool – almost freezing. I need the perfect outfit for this weather, I thought. Not too warm and not too cold. A bit wintry, but not like you would think you were going to the Christmas market. But where can you find – when sale is almost over everywhere – still dope winter fashion?

WINTER, ICH MACH SCHLUSS MIT DIR! Mit deiner Dunkelheit, deiner Kälte und deiner Aussichtslosigkeit. Deiner schlechten Laune, deinem peitschenden Wind und deiner Motivationslosigkeit. Du warst viel zu lange hier. GOOD effin’ BYE!

Zum ersten mal in diesem Jahr lag diese Woche eine Spur Leichtigkeit und Hoffnung in der Luft. Es fühlte sich fast wie Frühling an. 15 Grad über Null und die Sonne schien, sodass es hieß: Sonnenbrille aufgesetzt, Hose hochgekrempelt und die Lieblingssneaker angezogen. Weg mit den dicken Wollpullis, Winterstiefeln und der Winterjacke. Doch im Schatten ist es dennoch ziemlich kühl. Das perfekte Outfit muss her – nicht zu warm und nicht zu kalt. Ein bisschen winterlich, aber nicht so, als würde man denken, man würde gleich auf den Weihnachtsmarkt gehen. Doch wo findet man im Februar – wenn der Sale schon überall fast vorbei ist – noch coole Wintermode?
