GOODBYE, MUNICH. GOODBYE, GERMANY.

I’ve been teasing for weeks now – whether it was here or on Instagram –, but now it’s time to tell you the secret. After weeks full of planning, packing, organizing, etc. it’s time to leave and I have to admit: I’m nervous! Nervous, because I’ll do it all by myself and it’s a longer time and I don’t know what’s expecting me there in this whole month. Of course I’ve already planned a million things (I really can’t wait to tell you – sheesh! I’m such a tease! ;)) and it isn’t my first time there, but it’s so exciting. And new. And fabulous. I’m going to:

Lange habe ich es ja auf Instagram und auch hier geteasert, nun lüfte ich endlich das Geheimnis. Nach Wochen des Planens, Packens, Organisierens, etc. ist es soweit und ich muss schon ein klein wenig zugeben: ich bin nervös! Nervös, weil ich ganz alleine weg gehe, weil es einen Monat ist und weil ich nicht weiß, was mich alles erwartet. Natürlich habe ich einiges geplant (ich freue mich schon, es mit euch zu teilen), einiges ausgemacht und es ist nicht das erste mal, dass ich dort bin. Aber: es ist aufregend. Und neu. Und fabelhaft. Wenn man sich entscheidet, alles auf eine Karte zu setzen, haben plötzlich alle eine Meinung dazu, es gibt Bewunderung oder Verwunderung. Bewunderung für den Mut, an sich selbst und seine Vision zu glauben, oder Verwunderung für die vermeintliche Naivität.

WINTER, I BREAK UP WITH YOU! With your darkness, your cold and your hopelessness. Your bad mood, your horrible wind and your lack of motivation. You’ve been here for way too long. GOOD effin’ BYE!

For the first time this year, a trace of lightness and hope lay in the air this week. It almost felt like spring. 15 degrees above zero and the sun shone, so it’s was time to put them shades out, roll up those pants and wear the favorite kicks. Put them thick wool-sweaters, winter boots and winter jackets away! But in the shadow it is still quite cool – almost freezing. I need the perfect outfit for this weather, I thought. Not too warm and not too cold. A bit wintry, but not like you would think you were going to the Christmas market. But where can you find – when sale is almost over everywhere – still dope winter fashion?

WINTER, ICH MACH SCHLUSS MIT DIR! Mit deiner Dunkelheit, deiner Kälte und deiner Aussichtslosigkeit. Deiner schlechten Laune, deinem peitschenden Wind und deiner Motivationslosigkeit. Du warst viel zu lange hier. GOOD effin’ BYE!

Zum ersten mal in diesem Jahr lag diese Woche eine Spur Leichtigkeit und Hoffnung in der Luft. Es fühlte sich fast wie Frühling an. 15 Grad über Null und die Sonne schien, sodass es hieß: Sonnenbrille aufgesetzt, Hose hochgekrempelt und die Lieblingssneaker angezogen. Weg mit den dicken Wollpullis, Winterstiefeln und der Winterjacke. Doch im Schatten ist es dennoch ziemlich kühl. Das perfekte Outfit muss her – nicht zu warm und nicht zu kalt. Ein bisschen winterlich, aber nicht so, als würde man denken, man würde gleich auf den Weihnachtsmarkt gehen. Doch wo findet man im Februar – wenn der Sale schon überall fast vorbei ist – noch coole Wintermode?

statements are trendy again! Quotes and words in big letters on shirts and sweaters (and even pants!) are the thing at Zara, H&M, Asos and others. And Rad is the most famous example – among us instagram-addicts -, how to combine casual colthes with a funny message.

Wenn man sich die aktuellen Kollektionen der Modehäusern ansieht, dann fällt einem eines auf: Statements sind wieder gefragt! In großen Lettern sind Sprüche und Wörter bei Zara, H&M, Asos und Co. auf Sweatern und Shirts (und teilweise sogar Hosen!) zu lesen. Und Rad ist wohl das – unter uns Instagram-Suchtis – bekannteste Beispiel, wie lässig solche Klamotten sein können. CONTINUE READING
